MARTINSBURG – David A. Camilletti will be sworn in as a judge of the Twenty-Fourth Family Court Circuit (Berkeley and Jefferson counties) in a ceremony at 4 p.m. Aug. 6 at the Berkeley County Courthouse.
Gov. Ear Ray Tomblin appointed him July 10 to fill the vacancy created by the June 30 retirement of William Wertman, Jr.
He is a graduate of West Virginia University and West Virginia University College of Law and began his law career as part of the Laurita Coal Group in 1982. In 1989, he was named Director of Administration and Executive Counsel at Glenville State College, where he also taught business law until 1991.
He has served as part of the West Virginia State Senate Committee for Health and Human Services, general counsel for the Jefferson County Board of Education, and at the time of his appointment to the bench was a sole practitioner in Charles Town.
