PERSONNEL FILE: McKeen named managing member of Steptoe's Wheeling office

WHEELING – Steptoe & Johnson PLLC has named Timothy M. McKeen the managing member of its Wheeling office.

McKeen joined Steptoe & Johnson in 2006 and focuses his legal practice in the area of oil and gas law.

McKeen specializes in mineral title, due diligence, and mineral acquisitions in Ohio, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania. He is the author of the American Association of Professional Landmen's Ohio comparative law article on oil and gas and is a frequent speaker for industry groups both nationally and locally. He is a fellow of the Ohio State Bar Foundation and was ranked by Chambers USA as one of America’s leading lawyers for Natural Resources law.

He is the co-leader for Steptoe & Johnson’s Mineral Title and Real Estate Team. He is a past president of the Wheeling Rotary Club and OVConnect, an organization for young professionals, and lives with his wife Lindsay and their two daughters in St. Clairsville, Ohio.

As managing member, McKeen will oversee the day-to-day operation and strategic direction of the firm’s 35 employee Wheeling office in addition to maintaining his legal practice.
