PRINCETON – A Mercer County woman is suing a Princeton cafeteria, alleging injuries sustained from a fall on a wet floor.
Tammy Adams of Princeton filed a lawsuit Aug. 24 in Mercer Circuit Court against Finks Cafeteria, alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, on Jan. 14, 2012, Adams was helping employees of Finks Cafeteria prepare for an upcoming reopening when she slipped and fell on a wet floor within the restaurant. The suit says the recently mopped floor was not labeled as such and no warning was provided.
The suit says as a direct result of her fall, Adams' knees and back were injured.
Adams seeks a trial by jury, plus compensation for her injuries and legal costs. She is represented by attorney James J. Palmer III of The Palmer Law Firm of Bluefield. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Omar Aboulhosn.
