CHARLESTON – The Southern Political Report magazine, Summer 2015 edition, has ranked Robinson & McElwee as one of the most influential lobbying firms in the State of West Virginia for “The South’s Top Government Affairs Firms and Lobbyists.”

Commenting on the process used to ensure the rankings are comprehensive and accurate, Phil Kent, the publisher of the magazine, notes that “Rating top governmental affairs firms and lobbyists in order of distinction is a thorny enterprise … That’s why we regularly talk to various movers-and-shakers in 13 Southern states ‘in the know.’ Some are accomplished lobbyists themselves, or they are the clients big and small that they serve. They know who the best are…”

Edward J. George, chairman of the Government Relations Practice Group at Robinson & McElwee, said “it is an honor to be recognized as a leader in helping businesses navigate the complex challenges posed by the intersection of public policy, law, regulation and economic considerations.”

Legislative Liaison Karen Price said, “In my prior role as president of the West Virginia Manufacturer's Association, I frequently called upon Robinson & McElwee to advise on policy, legislative, and lobbying matters. As a client of the firm for many years I was continually impressed with the firm’s comprehensive and forward thinking strategies. Having now worked with Robinson & McElwee in a variety of capacities, I can easily see why the firm was selected as one of the most influential in West Virginia.”

With decades of experience, Mr. George and Ms. Price provide clients with innovative and comprehensive solutions for regulatory and legislative issues, with a focus on proactive interaction with key policymakers and individual advocacy strategies.
