WHEELING – Steptoe & Johnson attorney Jason Lucas has received the inaugural Russell Schetroma Memorial Speaker’s Award from the National Association of Division Order Analysts (NADOA).
The award recognizes individuals who have contributed to NADOA’s members through speaking engagements and educational programs. The award is named in honor of Steptoe & Johnson attorney Russell L. Schetroma who passed away earlier this year.
Lucas practices energy and mineral law from Steptoe & Johnson’s Wheeling office. He assists clients throughout the nation with mineral title examinations and title opinions. Lucas is an advocate for the energy industry serving in positions of leadership for organizations including the Appalachian Basin Association of Division Order Analysts. He also conducts lectures on energy issues for groups such as the American Association of Professional Landmen and National Association of Lease and Title Analysts.
Schetroma practiced energy law in Steptoe & Johnson’s Meadville, Pa., office. He was best known as a charismatic speaker and authority on mineral title law. Schetroma often spoke to events organized by NADOA and its affiliate organizations nationwide.
NADOA was founded in 1974 to promote professionalism, technical expertise, and ethical standards among division order analysts working in the energy industry.
