CHARLESTON – A Summerville man is suing for breach of contract after allegedly being fired without notice.

Larry Bradford filed suit in Kanawha Circuit Court against the West Virginia Solid Waste Management Board, citing breach of contract and violation of the West Virigina Wage and Hour Laws.

According to the complaint, Bradford was manager of the Nicholas County Solid Waste Authority from July 1, 2008, to June 19, 2014, at which point the state board assumed command of said managership and he was allegedly let go immediately, without the required 90 days notice required by contract.

The plaintiff seeks payment for his final two weeks of employment, 15 accrued vacation days, accrued personal days, $30,000 in liquidated damages for violation of the Bradford Contract, $80,000 for wrongful termination, and compensation for his "incentive bonus." He also seeks payment for attorney fees and court costs, interest for all of the above, and any additional payment as the court sees fit. He demands a trial by jury.

Bradford is represented by Kathy A. Brown of Kathy Brown Law PLLC of Charleston. The case has been assigned to Judge Joanna Tabit.

Kanawha County Circuit Court case number 15-C-1543.
