PRINCETON--A Mercer County couple is suing Chevrolet, alleging they were sold a defective truck.
Joseph A. Hale and Kiesha Nacole Hale filed a lawsuit Sept. 3 Mercer Circuit Court against General Motors and Cole Chevrolet-Cadillac Inc.
According to the lawsuit, on April 18, 2013, the plaintiffs purchased a 2013 Chevy Silverado 1500 truck from the defendant for $32,644.08. The Hales allege they have experienced repeated turmoil with their vehicle.
After repair to the couple's vehicle, the dealership still could not figure out what was the problem with their truck, the suit says. As a result, the plaintiffs tried to use their warranty in order to get a new vehicle but their case was denied.
The Hales seek compensation for cost of repairs, loss of use, annoyance, attorney fees and legal costs. They are represented by attorney Kathryn Reed of Bayless of Bayless Firm in Princeton. This case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Derek C. Swope.
