CHARLESTON – A woman is suing over claims that she was injured at her workplace due to an elevator malfunction.

Sherry Withrow filed a lawsuit in the Kanawha Circuit Court against Frontier Communications of America Inc., Citizens Telecom Services Company LLC and Otis Elevator Company citing negligence.

According to the plaintiff, on Sept. 9, 2013, Withrow was trapped between the two doors of an elevator at her workplace. The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in the form of special, general, exemplary and punitive damages.

Withrow is represented by Sissonville-based attorney Walton S. Shepherd III.
