Charleston man says he was injured in apartment ceiling collapse

CHARLESTON – A man is suing over claims he suffered traumatic bodily injuries when his apartment ceiling collapsed onto him.

Robert L. Minued filed a lawsuit in the Kanawha Circuit Court against Charleston-Kanawha Housing Authority and Orchard Manor Resident Management Corporation citing negligence.

On Sept. 8, 2013, Minued claims that his ceiling fell onto him while sitting and watching television in an apartment owned by the defendants. The plaintiff claims that he has suffered severe injuries, pain and suffering, disability, mental anguish and loss of wages as a result of accident.

Minued is seeking unspecified amount as compensation for loss, damages and injuries.

The plaintiff is represented by Erika Klie Kolenich of Klie Law Office, which is based in Buckhannon.
