Kanawha County lab says Appalachian Coal defaulted on loan

PRINCETON – A Kanawha County laboratory has sued a coal mining-related business for allegedly failing to make timely payments. 

Standard Laboratories alleges in a suit filed in the Mercer Circuit Court claiming Appalachian Coal Services LLC entered into a credit agreement on in 2014, but failed to make timely payments. The defendants allegedly defaulted on a March 19, 2014, invoice in the amount of $13,500.

Alleging breach of contract, the plaintiff seeks $13,500, plus interest, costs and attorney fees. Standard Laboratories is represented by Robert L. Bandy of Kay Casto & Channey PLLC in Charleston. Judge William J. Sadler is presiding.
