Man sues Wal-Mart after fall allegedly caused by fabric softener

HUNTINGTON – A man is suing Wal-Mart over injuries due to a fall allegedly caused by fabric softener left on an aisle floor.

Joshua Cremeans filed suit Aug. 27 in Cabell Circuit Court against Wal-Mart Stores Inc., citing negligence.

According to the complaint, on May 6, 2014, the plaintiff allegedly injured his left knee and right wrist when he allegedly slipped and fell on fabric softener left on store aisle floor at the Barboursville location. The plaintiff contends that defendant failed to warn of hazardous situation and had the area poorly lit.

The plaintiff demands unspecified money damages. Zachery Pool of Fredeking and Fredeking Law Offices of Huntington is representing the plaintiff. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Chris Chiles.
