WHEELING – A woman is suing a transportation company over injuries she claims occurred when the driver, traveling erratically at an excessive rate of speed, hit a speed bump.
Veronica Robinson filed a lawsuit on Nov. 9 against Lenzner Coach USA in Ohio Circuit Court, citing negligence.
According to the complaint, on or about July 19, 2014, Robinson, as a passenger in a vehicle owned by Lenzner Coach, claims she suffered a broken back when the vehicle’s motorist, who failed to slow down for a speed bump on Virginia Avenue in Wheeling, hit the speed bump and sent her airborne.
She is seeking pre- and post-judgment interest, attorneys’ fees, costs and any other relief the court may deem just and proper. Robinson is being represented by attorney Eric Chaffin and Patrick Booth of Chaffin Luhana LLP of Weirton.
The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge James P. Mazzone.
