BECKLEY – A Raleigh County business solutions company is suing a West Virginia carpentry company over an alleged debt.

Custom Business Solutions filed a lawsuit Nov. 2 in Raleigh Circuit Court against Richardson Carpentry, alleging breach of contract and unjust enrichment.

On Dec. 29, 2014, the suit states, the parties entered into an administrative service agreement wherein Custom Business Solutions would perform certain services for Richardson Carpentry.

Custom Business Solutions billed and invoiced Richardson Carpentry for the services it provided, but the suit states the defendant failed to pay all amounts due.

As of Sept. 29, Richardson Carpentry was indebted to Custom Business Solutions in an amount of $12,194.89. The parties then entered into a loan agreement wherein Richardson Carpentry acknowledged Custom Business Solutions loaned it the amount stated above at an interest rate of 7 percent per year.

One payment of $3,000 was due on Oct. 2, and the loan was to be paid in full on Oct. 19, according to the suit.

Richardson Carpentry paid Custom Business Solutions $3,000, but has failed to pay the remaining amount of $9,194.89.

Custom Business Solutions seeks to recover the unpaid sum due, plus interests, attorney fees, and other costs of the suit.

The plaintiff is being represented by attorney Gregory W. Sproles of Summersville. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Robert A. Burnside Jr.
