WASHINGTON – Peggy L. Schultz, executive director of the Defense Trial Counsel of WV (DTCWV) has received the 2015 Inaugural Executive Director's Award for a State & Local Defense Organization Award from DRI - The Voice of Defense Bar.
Schultz was honored during their recent Washington, D.C., annual meeting. The award recognizes the executive director who best fosters a relationship between a state defense organization and DRI and who has otherwise demonstrated exceptional service to the cause of the defense bar.
Schultz has been with DTCWV since 2003 and has helped the organization grow and strengthen its membership and focus on its core missions which are, bringing together attorneys who defend individuals and corporations in civil litigation for the purposes of elevating the standards of West Virginia trial practice, supporting and advocating for the improvement of the adversary system of jurisprudence, and increasing the quality of services rendered by the legal profession to the citizens of West Virginia.
Schultz’s 2015 award stems from her expertise and guidance provided to the Defense Lawyers Association of Wyoming during its recent reformation and previously the formation of the Tri-State Defense Lawyers Association (Maine-New Hampshire-Vermont), along with presenting at numerous DRI SLDO seminars and committee involvement.
