GRAFTON – A Grafton man is suing a combination convenience store over injuries he claims he sustained on its premises.

Robert Lee Hunt filed a lawsuit Jan. 6 in Taylor Circuit Court against Go-Mart and Heater Oil Co. Inc., alleging negligence.

On Feb. 18, the suit states, Hunt exited the Go-Mart and Heater Oil Co. combination store at 109 N. Pike St. in Grafton. At the time, according to the suit, temperatures were below freezing, and it had been snowing for several days.

When Hunt exited the store, he allegedly stepped onto a negligently maintained area and fell. As a result of the fall, Hunt alleges he sustained injuries, including a broken ankle, for which he has incurred medical expenses.

Hunt seeks compensatory damages, interests and costs. He is represented by attorney LaVerne Sweeney in Grafton. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Alan D. Moats.
