AG's office announces February mobile office hours

CHARLESTON – A representative from West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey's office will conduct mobile office hours during February in four local counties.

The representative will educate consumers on the latest scams in their area and provide them with tips on how to protect their personal information.

Andrea Lannom, a consumer outreach and compliance specialist with the office, will host the mobile office hours, which are listed below:

• Feb. 1: 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the Bison Senior Center 330 Buffalo Creek Rd., Kenova

• Feb. 3: 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. at Elk River Senior Center, 1078 Main St., Elkview

• Feb. 4: 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Town hall at Elk Valley Branch Library, 313 Crossings Mall Rd., Elkview

• Feb. 8: 1 p.m. - 2 p.m. at Loop Pharmacy, 72 6th Ave., St. Albans

• Feb. 10: 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. at Buffalo Senior Center, 48 Wrights Ln., Buffalo

• Feb. 11: 10 a.m. - 11 a.m. at Kanawha County Courthouse, 409 Virginia St. E., Charleston

• Feb. 11: 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Town Hall at Marmet Rec Center, 8599 MacCorkle Ave., Marmet

• Feb. 12: 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. at Charleston Town Center Mall, 300 Charleston Town Center, Charleston

• Feb. 13: Noon - 2 p.m. at Alum Creek Elementary, 4540 Brounland Rd., Alum Creek

• Feb. 16: 6 p.m. - 7 p.m. Town Hall at George Washington High School, 1522 Tennis Club Rd., Charleston

• Feb. 17: Noon - 1 p.m. at Marie Redd Senior Center, 1750 9th Ave., Huntington

• Feb. 18: 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. Town Hall at South Charleston City Hall, 4th Ave., South Charleston

• Feb. 22: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at Putnam County Library, 4219 WV 34, Teays Valley

• Feb. 25: 11 a.m. - Noon at Cabell County Courthouse, 750 5th Ave., Huntington

• Feb. 29: 11 a.m. - Noon at Wayne Senior Center, 440 Cleveland St., Wayne

“Mobile office hours are a great way for consumers to air concerns and ask questions," Morrisey said in a statement. “We encourage people to take advantage of this opportunity to learn more about consumer protection issues affecting them and their areas.”

The mobile office hours are open to the public; reservations are not required.
