CHARLESTON — West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey will host a series of four town hall meetings in February throughout Kanawha County.

He said he wants to speak with local consumers, business leaders and community organizers about economic challenges and consumer protection issues.

“Town hall meetings foster a unique dialogue between our office and West Virginia residents,” Morrisey said in a statement. “We are able to provide important information to people about consumer protection issues and hear challenges facing their area.”

The town hall meeting schedule is as follows:

• Feb. 4 at 6:30 p.m. at the Kanawha County Library’s Elk Valley Branch Library, located at 313 The Crossings Mall in Elkview.

• Feb. 11 at 6:30 p.m. at the Marmet Recreation Center, located at 8505 Maccorkle Ave. in Marmet.

• Feb. 16 at 6 p.m. at George Washington High School, located at 1522 Tennis Club Rd. in Charleston.

• Feb. 18 at 6:30 p.m. at South Charleston City Hall, located 238 4th Ave. in South Charleston.

These events are open to the public.

“Improving West Virginia is not a partisan issue,” Morrisey said. “That’s why we hope everyone will come to this meeting to share their thoughts, ideas, and concerns.”
