Law firm continues free Valentine's Day divorce for eighth year

Rustywebb

CHARLESTON – The Webb Law Centre is offering its eighth annual free Valentine's Day divorce to the person who presents the "most compelling story."

The Webb Law Centre will choose the winner based on its opinion of whose story is the most convincing of why they deserve the free divorce.

The divorce is limited to an uncontested, no-fault divorce with no or minimal child custody issues.

While the service is free, the winner will be responsible for all fees, costs and expenses associated with the divorce.

This year, Charles R. “Rusty” Webb, said they are going to alert the winner in a different way than they ever have before.

“This year we are going to announce the winner Publisher’s Clearing House style and drive our brand new mobile office to tell them that they won,” Webb said. “It’s going to be fun.”

Webb said they purchased the mobile office in July and had it wrapped in December.

“We are going to go to the winner’s house and tell them in person that they have won,” Webb said.

Webb said they will announce the winner on Feb. 12.

The divorce is limited to divorces with jurisdiction in West Virginia and current clients of The Webb Law Centre are ineligible for this free service.

Webb, began the tradition in 2008 and each year chooses the person who he believes deserves the divorce the most.
