Fuel company says trucking operation owes money

Truck fuel

HINTON — A fuel company is suing a trucking operation, alleging breach of a credit agreement.

R.T. Rogers Oil Co. Inc. sued David Lambert Trucking on Feb. 12 in Summers Circuit Court.

According to the complaint, Lambert Trucking purchased fuel from R.T. Rogers Oil Co. between May and September of 2013, continuing a business arrangement begun with the fuel company's predecessor, Rupert Oil, as far back as 2008. The suit says Lambert stopped buying fuel in September 2013, but still owes more than $60,000 for unpaid purchases.

Rogers Oil Co. seeks damages of $61,375.54, plus pre- and post-judgment interest and litigation costs. It is represented by attorney James R. Sheatsley of Gorman, Sheatsley & Co. in Beckley.

Judge Robert Irons is assigned to the case.
