GLENVILLE – A company in Pennsylvania is suing Glenville-based S.S. Services to collect an allegedly unpaid judgment against it for nearly $23,000, plus interest and attorney’s fees.
Johnston-Morehouse-Dickey Co., doing business as JMD Co., filed a lawsuit Feb. 8 in Gilmer Circuit Court against S.S. Services and Stewart B. Sink, individually and as guarantor of S.S. Services.
According to the complaint, JMD Co. won a judgment against the defendant in the Allegheny County (Pennsylvania) Court, totaling $32,919.56, including interest of 1.5 percent a month and attorney’s fees. On Oct. 2, 2015, the suit says the defendants paid $10,000 toward the judgment, leaving a remaining balance of $22,919.56.
JMD Co. seeks payment of the remaining amount owed, plus post-judgment interest of 6 percent annually and accruing legal fees. It is represented by attorney Jacob R. Shaffer of Dinsmore & Shohl LLP in Morgantown.
