Law firm announces winner of free Valentine’s Day divorce

CHARLESTON – The Webb Law Centre announced the winner of the eighth annual free Valentine’s Day divorce.

Megan Bigler won the contest and will have her consultation with Charles R. “Rusty” Webb sometime in the near future.

“There was something about Megan’s application that caught my eye,” Webb said. “She’s enduring a bad situation, but she’s making the best out of it.”

Webb said they only received six applications this year for the free Valentine’s Day divorce.

“It’s all about timing and sometimes that timing is off when you announce the contest,” he said.

The Webb Law Centre always chooses the winner based on its opinion of whose story is the most convincing of why they deserve the free divorce.

The divorce is limited to an uncontested, no-fault divorce with no or minimal child custody issues.

While the service is free, the winner will be responsible for all fees, costs and expenses associated with the divorce.

The divorce is limited to divorces with jurisdiction in West Virginia and current clients of The Webb Law Centre are ineligible for this free service.

Webb began the tradition in 2008 and each year chooses the person who he believes deserves the divorce the most.
