PRINCETON — A North Carolina firm says Maples Health Care has failed to pay for the use of software and equipment that the plaintiff provided under a contract.
TheraStat Data LLC, formerly known as TheraStat Data Corp., filed a lawsuit in Mercer Circuit Court against Maples Health Care Inc., alleging breach of contract.
According to the complaint, the parties struck a deal on May 1, 2012, whereby TheraStat agreed to provide software applications, computer hardware and training services at Maples Health Care for $1,129 a month. However, the suit says, Maples did not make full payments on several of the invoices issued between August 2013 and August 2015, totaling $19,229. TheraStat says it stopped providing services to Maples in the fall of 2015, and that its attempts to collect the outstanding amount have been ignored.
TheraStat seeks recovery of the unpaid amount, plus interest and litigation costs. It is represented by attorney Jerad K. Horne of Brewster, Morhous, Cameron, Caruth, Moore, Kersey & Stafford PLLC in Bluefield.
