Two car collision

BECKLEY – A Raleigh County woman is suing a company over injuries she allegedly suffered from a collision caused by its driver.

Natalie Paige Cochran filed a lawsuit March 29 in Raleigh Circuit Court against James W. Young Jr. and Merck Sharp & Dohme Corp., alleging negligence and personal injury liability.

According to the complaint, Cochran was driving her GMC Yukon SUV in a parking lot on March 17 when a 2015 Chevy Malibu, driven by Young and owned by Merck Sharp & Dohme, struck and substantially damaged her vehicle.

The suit says Cochran was injured during the accident, incurring more than $3,000 in medical expenses and $2,339 of damage to her vehicle.

Cochran seeks a jury trial and reimbursement for her damages and litigation costs. She is represented by attorney Christopher M. Davis of Wooton, Davis, Hussell & Ellis PLLC of Beckley.

Judge John A. Hutchinson is assigned to the case.
