BECKLEY – A Raleigh County woman is suing a clinic over injuries allegedly caused by a cosmetic procedure.
Rachel N. Bowyer filed a lawsuit March 25 in Raleigh Circuit Court against Zen Health, Wellness and Beauty Clinic Professional Corp., alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, as Bowyer underwent a procedure for laser hair removal on April 9, 2014, she suffered burns on her legs that have required medical treatment costing upwards of $500.
Bowyer seeks a jury trial and compensatory damages for pain and suffering, mental anguish and emotional distress, and medical expenses. She is represented by attorney Anthony M. Salvatore of Hewitt & Salvatore PLLC in Fayetteville.
