PRINCETON – A Mercer County woman is suing the owner of a parking lot for injuries she allegedly sustained while on the property.

Julia L. Smith filed a lawsuit April 29 in Mercer Circuit Court against Stafford Drive Inc., alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, on May 8, 2014, Smith slipped and fell on a hole or defect in the parking lot’s pavement, enduring pain and suffering and permanent injuries, as well as incurring medical expenses. The suit blames Stafford Drive for allegedly failing to maintain safe premises for visitors to its property.

Smith seeks a jury trial and general and compensatory damages in an amount to be proven at trial. She is represented by Princeton attorney Michael French.

Judge William J. Sadler is assigned to the case.
