BECKLEY – A Raleigh County woman says she was injured in a motorcycle accident allegedly caused by another motorist’s reckless driving.

Lisa Garris filed a lawsuit May 6 in Raleigh Circuit Court against Evelyn Kathleen Moses, alleging personal injury liability.

According to the complaint, on July 25, 2014 Garris was a passenger on a Honda motorcycle operated by David Crookshanks, traveling west on Brethren Road near Crab Orchard. The suit says Moses, who was traveling east in a Toyota RAV4, struck the plaintiff while making a left turn. Because of the accident, Garris endured multiple injuries, lost wages, incurred medical expenses and suffers from physical limitations, the suit alleges.

Garris seeks a jury trial, compensatory damages, interest and litigation costs. She is represented by attorneys Robert D. Cline Jr. and Brian E. Bigelow of Farmer, Cline & Campbell PLLC in Beckley.
