Motorist blames company for alleged injury accident

BECKLEY – A Raleigh County woman says a collision allegedly caused by another driver who struck her vehicle from behind left her with ongoing physical injuries.

Maranda N. Moore filed a lawsuit May 18 in Raleigh Circuit Court against Christopher S. Hatcher and Alliance Consulting Inc., alleging negligence and vicarious liability.


Moore says her Suzuki Forenza was struck from behind on Sept. 23, 2014 by Hatcher’s Ford F250 while traveling on Ritter Drive in Daniels. According to the complaint, Moore suffered unspecified injuries from the collision, causing pain and suffering and lost wages, as well as incurring medical expenses.

Moore seeks a jury trial, punitive and compensatory damages, interest and legal expenses. She is represented by attorneys Robert D. Oline Jr., Brian E. Bigelow and Jennifer Dempsey Meeteer of Farmer, Cline & Campbell PLL in Beckley.

Judge Robert A. Burnside Jr. is assigned to the case.
