Contractor seeks payment for airport construction work

Late 05

PRINCETON – A Mercer County contractor says the Mercer County Airport Authority Inc. failed to pay for work.

Lamberts Construction Company of Bluefield filed a lawsuit May 19 in Mercer Circuit Court against the airport authority, alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, on July 21, 2014 the parties struck a deal to relocate and make improvements to a taxiway at the Mercer County Airport. The suit says that after the work was completed on Oct. 19, the defendant has refused to pay Lamberts for the work completed under the contract, totaling $71,251.

Lamberts Construction seeks recovery of the full amount, plus interest. It is represented by attorney C. William Davis of Richardson & Davis PLLC in Bluefield.
