Woman blames driver for rear-end collision

Car accident 11

POINT PLEASANT — A woman is suing fellow motorist Jesse Reynolds, alleging that insufficient measures were taken to prevent injuries.

Beth N. Gay filed a complaint on July 11 in Mason Circuit Court against Jesse Reynolds, alleging that the defendant failed to obey traffic rules and regulations.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Sept. 11, 2014, she was operating her vehicle northbound on Jackson Avenue in Point Pleasant while the defendant, traveling behind her, negligently crashed into the rear of her vehicle and caused her to suffer bodily injuries, pain, emotional distress, humiliation, embarrassment and medical expenses. The plaintiff holds Reynolds responsible because the defendant allegedly followed her too closely and operated his vehicle in a reckless and negligent manner.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant for damages that will fairly compensate her, pre- and post-judgment interest, attorney's fees and costs and any other relief the court deems fit and proper. She is represented by Truman C. Griffith of Warner Law Offices PLLC in Charleston.
