KINGWOOD — A woman is suing Bruceton Mills Ambulance and Bruceton Community Ambulance Service Inc., emergency service providers, citing alleged insufficient measures taken to prevent injuries.
Kimberly Simmons filed a complaint on July 18 in Preston Circuit Court against the defendants alleging that they failed to properly train their employees.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on July 18, 2014, she required emergency treatment, and that when Bruceton Ambulance employees were attempting to load her into an ambulance, she was dropped onto her right side, striking the pavement and causing her to sustain injuries to her upper and lower extremities. The plaintiff holds Bruceton Mills Ambulance and Bruceton Community Ambulance Service Inc. responsible because the defendants' employees allegedly failed to keep her free of injury, negligently dropped her while loading her in the back of the ambulance, and failed to properly secure her on the gurney.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensatory and consequential damages, plus interest, costs of suit, and any other relief that the court may deem appropriate. She is represented by Mark D. Troyan of Law Offices of Robert Peirce & Associates PC in Pittsburgh.
