Law money 06

LOGAN — A couple's lawsuit against Four Seasons Country Store LLC, a retail store operator, alleges insufficient measures were taken to prevent injuries.

Sonja Mounts and Todd Mounts filed a complaint on July 22 in Logan Circuit Court against Four Seasons Country Store LLC, alleging that the retail store operator breached its duty and care to its invitee customer.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on May 23, Sonja Mounts was a customer at defendant's Four Seasons Store when she fell over a concealed forklift and sustained injuries to her arm that incurred pain, suffering, mental anguish, and medical expenses. The plaintiffs holds the defendant responsible for allegedly negligently maintaining its walkway where Sonja Mounts was directed by a clerk to check out and pay and failing to discover and eliminate the hazardous condition.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment for a fair and reasonable amount, pre- and post-judgment interest, attorney's fees, costs and such other relief as the court deems appropriate. They are represented by Susan Van Zant of Susan Van Zant, Attorney at Law in Williamson.
