Company seeks compensation from contractors

FAYETTEVILLE — A Fayette County corporation is suing D.J. Shalvey, Second Life Arborist Co. and Fine Woodworking LLC, contractors, citing alleged breach of contract.

Portlager & Co. d/b/a The Station filed a complaint on July 25 in Fayette Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging that they failed to comply with the terms and conditions of a contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages due to spending $15,863.36 for a project that wasn't completed. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to complete the contracted task and failing to produce goods or services to fulfill the contract.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment from the defendants in a sum to compensate the plaintiff's damages, attorney's fees and related expenses and such other relief as the court may deem appropriate. It is represented by James A. Keenen of Keenan & Associates LC in Fayetteville.
