CHARLESTON — An African-American woman is suing K & S Management LLC and Terri Walker, employers, citing alleged age and racial discrimination.
Dannetta Hayes filed a complaint on July 11 in Kanawha Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging that they violated the West Virginia Human Rights Act.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she was not hired for a job at a McDonald's, which caused her to suffer damages, including but not limited to wage loss, emotional and mental distress, aggravation, humiliation, embarrassment and inconvenience. The plaintiff holds K & S Management LLC and Terri Walker responsible because the defendants allegedly recklessly disregarded her rights by subjecting her to unlawful discrimination and refused to hire her due to her age and race.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks an order for the defendants to cease and desist from engaging in unlawful acts of discrimination, award for damages, punitive damage, attorney's fees and costs, pre- and post-judgment interest and such other relief as the court may deems appropriate.
