WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Republican Attorneys General Association has released a new television and digital advertisement targeting Democratic Attorney General candidate Doug Reynolds.
“Doug Reynolds says he will never pass West Virginians by, but his record says otherwise,” said Scott Will, RAGA Executive Director. “Reynolds is an entitled politician who inherited a fortune, still voted to raise his own pay, and voted to raise taxes and fees on hard working West Virginians 16 times."
Will said Reynolds also cites his business background as a reason to elect him attorney general.
“Setting aside that his fortune is thanks entirely to his father, Reynolds also personally benefitted from taxpayer bailouts for his failing bank,” Will said. “Doug Reynolds’ penchant for mooching off the taxpayers in both his private and public life makes him thoroughly unqualified to serve the people of West Virginia as attorney general.”
The 30-second advertisement notes that Reynolds voted to raise his own salary and voted 16 times to raise taxes and fees for West Virginians.
Reynolds is seeking the seat currently held by Republican Patrick Morrisey, who is seeking re-election on the November ballot.
