Settlement sought in Takeda Pharmaceuticals alleged wrongful death case

BECKLEY – A Crab Orchard man has filed a petition for a settlement after the death of his mother.

John Hedrick requested an approval of a settlement involving the alleged wrongful death of his mother, Almedia Hedrick, against Takeda Pharmaceuticals in Raleigh Circuit Court.

 

John Hedrick is seeking two installments for payment, the petition states. The total amount sought is $384,437.63 for the first payment installment.

 

The other beneficiaries from this settlement are Almedia’s other surviving children, children of deceased children, and spouses of family members. The other children are Beulah Monarchy and Gertrude Dabbs.

The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge John A. Hutchison. The plaintiff is represented by Michael E. Froble of Beckley.
