Beckley Drilling and Blasting Services allegedly owes more than $290,000 for explosives

BECKLEY – A Utah company alleges a Beaver business has not paid for products it purchased.

Dyno Nobel Inc. filed a suit against Beckley Drilling and Blasting Services (BD&BS) in Raleigh Circuit Court alleging failure to pay.

 

From the period between Oct. 9, 2015, and March 18, the plaintiff alleges BD&BS bought and received various explosive products from Dyno. BD&BS allegedly defaulted on those terms after failing to make timely payments on its invoices. The total amount of the alleged debt comes to $290,462.63, with $245,411.98 coming from the past due invoices and $45,050.65 coming from finance charges on the past due invoice amount.

 

Dyno is seeking a sum of $290,462.63 from the defendant, interest at a rate of 1.5 percent per month from Aug. 23 through the judgment and until the judgment is satisfied, attorney’s fees, and any relief in which the plaintiff may be entitled. The plaintiff is represented by W. Scott Stinnett of Lloyd & McDaniel PLC of Louisville, Kentucky. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge John A. Hutchison.
