BECKLEY — A Raleigh County motorist is suing another driver, alleging the defendant's negligence caused a crash that injured the plaintiff.
Lynda Jo Scarbro filed a complaint on Sept. 2, in the Raleigh Circuit Court against Amanda Sue Rorrer alleging that the motorist negligently operated her vehicle.
According to the complaint, on Oct. 7, 2014, Scarbro was driving south on Sweeneysburg Road near Bradley when Rorrer backed out of a driveway and onto and directly into plaintiff's oncoming lane of travel, causing a collision.
As a result, the suit says, Scarbro sustained injuries that resulted in pain and suffering, medical expenses, lost wages and a diminished capacity to enjoy life. The plaintiff alleges Rorrer failed to maintain a proper lookout and failed to yield right of way.
Scarbro seeks trial by jury, compensatory damages, plus attorney fees, court costs and expenses, pre- and post-judgment interest and all other relief deemed just and equitable. She is represented by attorneys Robert D. Cline Jr. and Brian E. Bigelow of Farmer, Cline & Campbell PLLC in Beckley.
