BECKLEY — A Lanark motorist is suing a Hanover driver, alleging the defendant's negligence caused a crash that injured the plaintiff.
Joann Poole filed a lawsuit Sept. 13 in Raleigh Circuit Court against Joshua Walker, alleging the defendant carelessly drove his vehicle.
According to the complaint, on March 30, 2015, Poole was traveling westbound on McCulloch Drive in Raleigh County when Walker, who was attempting to turn left across the opposing lane, struck Poole's vehicle. The suit says the crash caused Poole to sustain serious injuries that required medical attention, plus great pain and loss of enjoyment of life.
The plaintiff alleges Walker negligently, carelessly and recklessly failed to keep proper lookout, failed to yield right of way and negligently turned left across the opposing lane of traffic.
Poole seeks trial by jury, compensatory and punitive damages, pre- and post-judgment interest, costs of action and all other relief. She is represented by attorney Clayton G. Anderson of The Masters Law Firm LC in Charleston.
