LOGAN — A Logan County homeowner is suing a highway contractor, alleging the defendant's negligence led to property damages for the plaintiff.

Ernest Bevins filed a lawsuit Sept. 14 in Logan Circuit Court against Bizzack Construction LLC alleging negligently failing to protect properties near its construction area.

According to the complaint, between September 2013 and June 2016, as a result of Bizzack's series of explosion, Bevins' real and personal property in McConnell was damaged. The suit says Bevins has suffered loss of the use of his property, annoyance and inconvenience.

Bevins seeks trial by jury, compensation for all damages and all other relief the court deems just and proper. He is represented by attorney Robert B. Kuenzel of Kuenzel Law PLLC in Chapmanville.
