Customer blames Target for fall at store

Slip01

CLARKSBURG — A Marion County woman is suing Target, alleging the defendant's negligence resulted in injuries to the plaintiff.

Susan M. Logsdon filed a lawsuit in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia Clarksburg Division against Target Corporation and Alex Procter, alleging they breached their duty to provide a reasonably safe place for patrons.

According to the complaint, on June 29, 2014, Logsdon was shopping at a Target store in Bridgeport and while walking through the store, she slipped and fell on a clear liquid on the floor. The fall, the suit says, caused Logsdon to sustain serious injuries to her left knee and other parts of her body.

The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to discover and correct the dangerous condition and failed to warn their patrons of such a dangerous condition.

Logsdon seeks trial by jury, damages, costs of action, attorney fees and expenses, pre- and post judgment interest and all other relief deemed just and proper. She is represented by attorneys Sara L. Zeigler and Kevin S. Kaufman of Kaufman & McPherson PLLC in Bridgeport.
