Insurance 02

WAYNE — An Ironton motorist is suing State Farm, alleging breach of insurance policy.

Samuel C. Santee filed a lawsuit Sept. 26, in Wayne Circuit Court against State Farm Fire and Casualty Company and Melissa Kaye Lyons, alleging State Farm failed to comply with its contractual obligations.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges on May 29, he was a passenger in a vehicle operated by Lyons when the car ran off Goodwill Road in Huntington and struck a utility pole. The suit says the collision caused Santee to sustain serious injuries as well as medical expenses.

The plaintiff alleges State Farm has failed and refused to pay reasonable amounts due to Santee under the insurance policy.

Santee seeks trial by jury, judgment against State Farm for compensatory damages, pre- and post-judgment interest, attorney fees and court costs, plus all other relief. He is represented by attorneys Kenneth P. Hicks and D. Geoffrey Varney of Kenneth P. Hicks LC in Huntington.
