Property owner accuses natural gas pipeline developer of trespassing

Natural gas 07

WEST UNION — A Doddridge County property owner is suing a natural gas pipeline developer, alleging trespassing.

David E Bowyer filed a lawsuit Sept. 29 in Doddridge Circuit Court against Rover Pipeline LLC, alleging failure to publicly disclose its plans.

According to the complaint, Bowyer will suffer irreparable harm and damage to the surface and waterways of his property, including slippage, erosion, timber devaluation and other potential hazards.

The plaintiff alleges Rover Pipeline threatened and asserted it will continue to trespass on Bowyer's land and continued to deprive him of his rights to exclusive possession of his property.

Bowyer seeks trial by jury, a declaration that the defendant has no right to enter plaintiff's property and all other relief the court finds just and proper, including a permanent injunction. He is represented by attorney O. Gay Elmore Jr. of Elmore Law Office in Charleston.
