Webp car accident 01

BECKLEY – A Summers County motorist alleges an accident on Interstate 77 in Raleigh County caused injuries.

Tristen A. Pack filed a complaint on Oct. 14 in Raleigh Circuit Court against Coyne International Enterprise Corp. and Edmond A. Branch alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 21, 2014, she was lawfully operating a motor vehicle in the left lane on northbound I-77 when Branch, who was operating a motor vehicle owned by Coyne, changed lanes and caused it to strike plaintiff's vehicle. The collision allegedly caused plaintiff to suffer bodily injuries resulting in pain and suffering, emotional distress, lost wages and medical expenses.

The plaintiff holds Coyne International Enterprise Corp. and Branch responsible because Branch allegedly negligently attempted to change lanes when it was unsafe and prohibited and operated his vehicle without regard for the safety of others.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendants in such amount as justified by evidence. She is represented by Stephen P. New and Amanda J. Taylor in Beckley. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge John A. Hutchison.
