PRINCETON — A Mercer County woman is suing an insurance company and an uninsured motorist, alleging the defendant's negligence caused a car crash that injured the plaintiff.
Erin P. Conner filed a lawsuit Nov. 24 in Mercer Circuit Court against Jeffrey A. Moye and State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company, alleging Moye failed to operate his vehicle in a safe and proper manner.
According to the complaint, on Dec. 10, 2014, Conner was operating her motor vehicle on state Route 20 in Athens, when Moye failed to keep his Ford Ranger on the right half of the roadway and he struck the plaintiff's vehicle. The suit says Conner sustained injuries and experienced medical expenses, pain and suffering, lost wages and property damage.
The plaintiff alleges Moye, who was uninsured, failed to operate his vehicle on the right side of the roadway, drove the vehicle at a speed greater than reasonable and failed to refrain from operating the vehicle while under the influence of drug and/or alcohol.
Conner seeks trial by jury, compensatory and punitive damages, pre- and post-judgment interest, attorney fees and costs and all other relief. She is represented by attorneys Robert D. Cline Jr., Brian E. Bigelow and Jennifer Dempsey Meeteer of Farmer, Cline & Campbell PLLC in Beckley.
