Woman sues New River Electrical for car accident

Car accident 40

CHARLESTON – A woman is suing New River Electrical Corporation after she claims she was injured in a car accident because of one of the company’s drivers.

David M. Wine was also named as a defendant in the suit.

On July 15, Amanda Mace was the driver of a 2001 Dodge Stratus traveling west on Quarrier Street in Charleston when Wine was operating a Sterling Crank truck owned by New River, according to a complaint filed in Kanawha Circuit Court.

Mace claims that Wine was operating the vehicle in a negligent and reckless manner and caused it to collide with her vehicle.

As a result of Wine’s negligence, Mace was injured and her vehicle sustained damages, according to the suit.

Mace claims the defendant’s negligent caused her vehicle to be a total loss.

Wine owed a duty of care to Mace and the general public to operate his vehicle in a reasonable and prudent manner and breached that duty of care, according to the suit.

Mace is seeking compensatory and punitive damages. She is being represented by Ben Salango and Patrick Salango of Preston & Salango.

The case is assigned to Circuit Judge Louis Bloom.
