Pennsylvania couple blames company, employee for causing vehicle crash

Car accident 19

WHEELING — A Pennsylvania couple is suing a Pennsylvania company and one of its employees, alleging their negligence cause a vehicle crash that injured the husband.

Eric Huston and Shelia Huston filed a lawsuit Nov. 14 in Ohio Circuit Court against Lagoni Erection Company of Washington, Pennsylvania, and David C. Pattison Jr., alleging Pattison recklessly disregarded basic road safety.

According to the complaint, on Nov. 14, 2014, Eric Huston was a backseat passenger in a vehicle owned by Lagoni Erection and operated by Pattison. The suit says Pattison negligently drove off the right side of the roadway and into the woods in Ohio County.

The lawsuit states the accident caused Huston serious and permanent injuries to his body, back, neck and head, while Shelia Huston has lost consortium and the services of her husband. The plaintiffs allege Pattison failed to maintain proper control of the vehicle, failed to maintain proper lookout and failed to yield right of way.

The Hustons seek trial by jury, compensation in excess of the minimum jurisdictional limits of the court, plus interest, court costs and all other relief the court finds just. They are represented by attorney Garasimos Sklavounakis of Wheeling.
