Medical malpractice 05

CHARLESTON — A patient is suing Charleston and Princeton nursing home operators, alleging their negligence led to injuries for the plaintiff.

Dexter McClung filed a lawsuit Nov. 28 in Kanawha Circuit Court against Stonerise Healthcare LLC of Charleston, Stonerise Services LLC, Princeton Center LLC, Angela Peterson, John Does 1-10 and unidentified entities 1-10 referred to as Glenwood Park Retirement Village, alleging failure to properly operate the nursing home.

According to the complaint, from Dec. 10, 2010 to the present, McClung was a resident at Glenwood Park Retirement Village in Princeton, where he suffered personal injuries, disfigurement, mental anguish and extreme pain.

The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to provide adequate hygiene and sanitary care, failed to provide a safe environment free from abuse and neglect and failed to ensure McClung received treatment and medication in accordance with physician's orders.

McClung seeks trial by jury, all damages, costs of litigation, and all other relief. He is represented by attorneys James B. McHugh, Michael J. Fuller, Amy J. Quezon, D. Bryant Chaffin, Kendra R. Fokakis and Ka'Leya Q. Hardin of McHugh Fuller Law Group in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
