Employee blames Logan mall property owner for injuries

LOGAN — A Logan County woman is suing the owners of a local mall, alleging the defendant's negligence led to injuries for the plaintiff. 

Faith R. Conn filed a lawsuit Dec. 9 in Logan Circuit Court against Fountain Place LLC, alleging breach of duty to provide a safe work place.

According to the complaint, on March 4, 2015, a significant rock fall occurred at Fountain Place in Logan. The suit says the incident seriously injured Conn while she working at her job with with Roger Hainer Insurance. 

As a result, Conn sustained pain and suffering, mental anguish and medical expenses. The plaintiff alleges Fountain Place LLC failed to take corrective actions for the unsafe workplace conditions and failed to provide a safe exit and escape.

Conn seeks trial by jury, seeks compensatory, general and special damages in an amount to be determined by jury, costs of court, attorney fees and all other relief allowed by law.
