Man accuses Dish Network of wrongful termination

Wrongful term 12

SUMMERSVILLE – A man is suing Dish Network after he claims his employment was wrongfully terminated.

On May 6, 2015, Carl Stuart was an employee of Dish and was injured while working, according to a complaint filed in Nicholas Circuit Court.

Stuart claims he timely filed for Workers’ Compensation benefits as a result of the injury and was subsequently terminated from his employment.

The defendant terminated Stuart from his employment for filing a Workers’ Compensation claim, according to the suit.

Stuart claims his termination for filing a Workers’ Compensation claim is in violation of West Virginia’s Workers’ Compensation Act.

As a direct and proximate result of the acts of the defendants, Stuart suffered lost wages and benefits, incurred fees and costs and was otherwise harmed, according to the suit.

Stuart is seeking compensatory damages. He is being represented by Greg A. Hewitt of Hewitt & Salvatore.
