WILLIAMSON — A Kentucky woman is suing a Ford Lincoln dealership, alleging intentional infliction of emotional distress and wrongful discharge.

Krista McCoy of Pike County, Kentucky, filed a complaint Jan. 12 in Mingo Circuit Court against Mike Ferrell Ford Lincoln Inc. and Ellery Scott Paynter, alleging violation of her employment rights.

According to the complaint, on Feb. 13, 2016, as a result of the defendants terminating her employment, McCoy has suffered lost wages and benefits, indignity, humiliation and emotional distress. The suit says the defendant subjected McCoy to continued harassment, retaliated against her and terminated her employment after she truthfully participated in an internal investigation.

McCoy seeks trial by jury, judgment in an amount to be determined by jury, costs of court and attorney fees, pre- and post judgment interest and all other appropriate relief. She is represented by attorneys Nathan D. Brown and Joshua S. Ferrell of Ferrell & Brown PLLC in Williamson.
